Johnson Controls is a global leader in the design, manufacture, installation, and service of integrated fire alarm, suppression, sprinkler, security, sound, communication, and inspection systems. The SSE Service Sales Executive promotes and sells service agreements for commercial building systems products to meet sales plan objectives, develop strong customer relationships, maintain a proposal backlog, and conduct building surveys to support estimates.
How You Will Do It- Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers of service contracts by scheduling sales calls, following up leads, and utilizing defined marketing strategies.
- Determine customer needs and develop a sales strategy to convey Johnson Controls’ service offerings.
- Close sufficient sales to meet sales plan objectives.
- Develop and maintain an active proposal backlog to support the sales plan.
- Conduct building surveys to support estimate development.
- Maintain correct and complete records of all sales‑related activities.
- Submit all required sales reports, expenses, competitive activity, and correspondence in an accurate and timely manner.
- Develop a positive ongoing relationship with customers to ensure long‑term loyalty.
- Support the service department by generating leads for service or equipment/device upgrades.
- Degree or equivalent work experience (5 years).
- Three (3) years minimum B2B track record of sales experience.
- Experience selling a service, intangible, or technical product.
- Hunter mentality with prospecting, qualifying, solution selling, and closing experience.
- Ability to work in a matrix environment with minimal supervision and performance measured by quota attainment.
- Professional communication, organizational, and time‑management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- BA degree in a technical or business discipline.
- Three (3) years minimum B2B track record of sales experience.
- Industry or related industry experience.
- Salesforce competency.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $53,000–$80,000. Salary determined by education, experience, skills, and market data. This role also offers a competitive Sales Incentive Plan based on volume and margin. The posted range reflects target compensation; exceptional candidates may exceed the range.
