Job Title:

Security Systems Installation Technician (Commercial)

Pay Range: $35 - $50 hourly

Tiello has partnered with a highly reputable, nationally recognized commercial security systems integrator in the Greater Boston area. This is a great opportunity for an experienced installation-focused security technician to join a rapidly growing organization and play a key role in delivering high-quality security system installations across a variety of commercial environments. This role is best suited for a technician who enjoys new installs, build-outs, and system deployments
, with the ability to lead installations and support junior technicians in the field.

Project Types:
Commercial office buildings, Industrial facilities, Mixed-use developments, Retail and corporate environments

• Install commercial electronic security systems, including:
• Access control systems
• CCTV and IP video surveillance systems
• Security alarm systems
• Install and terminate field devices such as:
• Card readers
• Electric locking hardware and exit devices
• Power supplies, panels, and control boards
• Low-voltage cabling and conduit
• Perform system rough-in, trim-out, and final device installation
• Configure and support basic IP networking for access control and video systems
• Test, commission, and verify system functionality to meet project specifications
• Maintain accurate installation documentation and redlines/as-builts
• Work closely with project managers and lead technicians to complete projects on schedule
• Mentor and assist apprentice-level technicians on job sites
• Maintain tools, job sites, and company vehicle in a safe and organized manner
• Follow all safety procedures and job-site protocols

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Massachusetts Low Voltage License preferred
• 3-6 years of experience installing commercial security systems
• Strong hands-on installation experience with access control and video surveillance systems
• Familiarity or certifications with systems such as:
  Avigilon, Axis, Brivo, Feenics, American Dynamics, Verkada
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and installation schematics
• Working knowledge of low-voltage cabling standards and best practices
• Strong communication skills and professional job-site presence
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks
• Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients
• Leadership ability to guide and support apprentice-level technicians
