North American Renewables, Inc. is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Machine Operator to join our growing team. This position is responsible for operating construction equipment, supporting renewable energy construction projects, maintaining equipment, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Equipment Operation
- Operate construction equipment, including foundation installation equipment, skid steers, powered industrial trucks, extended-reach forklifts, and telehandlers (lulls).
- Perform routine equipment inspections and maintain accurate equipment checklists.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks, including daily greasing and basic equipment upkeep.
- Ensure proper use, security, and maintenance of company equipment.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture on and off the project site.
- Participate in and support daily toolbox talks, Job Safety Analysis (JSA) reviews, and stretch-and-flex activities.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform all work with a commitment to safety and quality.
- Track and document daily production activities and provide reports to the Project Foreman.
- Conduct daily QA/QC inspections of assigned work.
- Verify incoming materials and document inventory.
- Complete Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for shortages, damaged materials, quality concerns, or incorrect deliveries.
- Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating company core values.
- Assist with additional duties and responsibilities as needed to support project and company objectives.
- Experience operating construction equipment in a commercial or industrial environment preferred.
- Ability to safely operate skid steers, forklifts, telehandlers, and other heavy equipment.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with supervisors and coworkers.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete documentation accurately.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds regularly.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, cold, and muddy site conditions.
