Maintenance, Building Maintenance

The Position:

The maintenance staff performs all repairs and construction in the school building and residences. This includes carpentry, plumbing, minor electrical repairs, construction and upkeep. On-call for holidays, nights and weekends is an integral component of this position. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. It is a full time (40 hours per week) position, paid on a non-exempt basis. Standard work day would be 8:30AM through 5:00 PM, Monday through Fridays, variation of these days and hours is possible to provide on-site weekend coverage.

Educational/Work History Requirements:

Acceptable combination of relevant maintenance education and experience, minimal requirement High School Diploma.
One to three years work experience in increasingly responsible maintenance positions.
Exposure to several disciplines, i.e. carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting.
Stamina and physical endurance for physically demanding business days.
Candidates should possess excellent problem solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
