As a Lead Field Technician, you’ll be the expert voice on-site—leading complex commissioning, solving deep system problems, and shaping how buildings perform. You’ll mentor newer techs, partner with strong project teams, and be counted on to deliver the kind of precision work our customers remember.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead commissioning and optimization of advanced BAS for HVAC, lighting, and energy systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and integration issues across multiple platforms (WebCTRL®, Niagara, Schneider, Honeywell).
  • Integrate third‑party systems using BACnet, Modbus, or Lon Works.
  • Configure controls, trends, alarms, and reports; manage secure network connections.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.
  • Deliver customer training and ensure systems perform exactly as promised.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in Building Automation, HVAC, or a related technical field.
  • Must possess a valid, current Driver’s License and be insurable by the company’s insurance carrier.
  • Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as squatting and climbing for extended periods.
  • Capable of working over 8 feet above grade and proficient in the use of ladders and motorized lift equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven ability to act as a technical authority and mentor junior engineers in a collaborative field environment.
  • Ability to execute turnkey building automation solutions with minimal oversight, focusing on high‑quality field execution and resource management.
  • High level proficiency in integrating diverse platforms and managing complex TCP/IP and wireless networking.
  • Advanced diagnostic skills for resolving high‑level technical challenges in controls, sensors, and software.
  • Dedicated to delivering site‑specific technical training to building owners and operators while maintaining clear documentation.
Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 and $, depending on skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications.

Other Compensation

May be entitled to short‑term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
