5 plus years of Public Accounting experience

Venteon Finance is currently seeking a Manager, Tax & Accounting for a growing local CPA firm in the Metro-Detroit area. We are seeking an experienced CPA that can oversee client engagements and support the continued growth of our firm. This role is ideal for a CPA with strong technical tax and accounting knowledge who enjoys working directly with business owners.

Requirements of the Manager, Tax & Accounting

• CPA license required
• Bachelor s degree in Accounting (Master s helpful but not required)
• 4 7+ years of public accounting experience
• Experience overseeing tax engagements
• Strong knowledge of federal and Michigan tax law
• Experience with Thomson Reuters products is helpful but not required
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills

Responsibilities of the Manager, Tax & Accounting

• Manage and review business and individual tax returns
• Oversee financial statement preparation
• Review bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting services for business clients
• Assist clients with tax planning, business structuring, and advisory
• Support firm leadership with workflow management
• Identify opportunities for additional services with existing clients
