Infant Lead Teacher - Early Learning Classroom

The Learning Experience - Canton is seeking a caring and dependable Infant Lead Teacher to guide our infant classroom and support children during their earliest stages of development. This role focuses on creating a nurturing and responsive environment where infants feel safe, supported, and engaged through consistent routines, sensory exploration, and positive teacher-child relationships.

This position is ideal for an educator who enjoys building strong connections with families while leading a warm and organized infant classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead daily classroom routines for infants ages 6 weeks to 12 months

* Provide attentive care including feeding, diapering, and nap supervision

* Implement developmentally appropriate sensory learning activities

* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment

* Observe and support developmental milestones and early communication skills

* Guide assistant teachers and maintain classroom consistency

* Communicate regularly with families regarding routines and developmental progress

* Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements and center policies

Qualifications

* Prior childcare experience required

* CDA preferred but not required

* Infant classroom experience strongly preferred

* Strong understanding of infant development and responsive caregiving practices

* Reliable, nurturing, and team-oriented approach

* Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements
