Early Childhood Paraprofessional Tuition Preschool

Location:

Gallimore

Hours:

31 hours per week

Monday Thursday: 7:45am - 3:15 pm

Friday: 8:00am - 11:00am

Assist with providing high quality preschool education to students.

Minimum qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • An associate degree in early childhood or child development or child development associate (CDA) credential preferred
  • Experience working in an early childhood setting preferred
  • Good organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with parents and children
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to maintain good rapport with staff/students
  • Good attendance record
  • Negative TB test required

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Complete professional development required by state licensing
  • Assist the classroom teacher in working with preschool children and parents
  • Function under the supervision of the classroom teacher and support classroom instruction
  • Assist in the implementation of instructional programs for the children
  • Direct specific classroom activities as assigned by the teacher
  • Prepare learning materials for children and parents
  • Assist with arrival and dismissal of children
  • Prepare and serve the daily, nutritional snack
  • Assist with the preparation and cleanup of room
  • Provides clinic/first aid/medication support to students
  • Bending, lifting and overhead work required
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Program Coordinator of Early Childhood Education

Rate of pay:
Gen Ed: $17.38

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus.
