The Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) team partners behind the scenes to drive continuous improvement and maintain all robotics and material handling equipment (MHE) to deliver the Amazon smile.

As an Area Maintenance Manager, you will lead a dynamic maintenance team to ensure safety, efficiency, and operational excellence. You will develop maintenance strategies, solve complex challenges, and create a supportive culture that empowers technicians to perform at their best.

• Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of service technicians and automation engineers, fostering professional growth and performance
• Ensure rigorous adherence to safety protocols and procedures during maintenance activities across the site
• Design and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance programs that enhance operational efficiency
• Manage and coordinate external contractors while maintaining high-quality service standards
• Monitor MHE metrics and partner with applicable teams to address system performance issues and provide analysis across all operations

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Reliability Engineering, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (BB/3P) Full Time experience
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience
• 2+ years of direct leadership/supervisory experience
• 2+ years of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience

• Master's degree, or Six Sigma Black Belt certification
• Experience working with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) integrators
• Experience maintaining material handling equipment and integrated systems
• Experience in project management
• Experience with statistical analysis

The base salary range for this position is USD 82,600.00 –  annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance, and optional supplemental life plans), EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
