You’ll join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and more. You’ll collaborate across AWS to deliver high standards for safety and security, while providing extensive capacity at low cost. As our Data Center Construction Manager, you will be part of a creative team constructing Amazon Data Centers, known for energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing project scope, quality, schedule, and budget for new builds or capital projects.
• Overseeing construction activities and project management.
• Collaborating with teams such as Operations, Networking, Security, and more.
• Representing Amazon’s interests on construction sites daily.
• Managing relationships with general contractors and vendors, including negotiations, bid evaluations, and overseeing construction phases.
• Handling project documentation, RFIs, change orders, and quality control.
• Supporting commissioning, testing, and operations of facilities.
• Reporting on project progress and metrics, and contributing to construction improvements.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent, plus 7+ years relevant experience, or 11+ years of experience without a degree.
• 6+ years managing large, complex construction projects involving MEP systems.
• 6+ years managing general contractors and vendors.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MS in relevant fields, 10+ years in large-scale construction, project and vendor management experience, knowledge of data center systems, and professional certifications (PE, LEED, CCM).
