Overview
AWS is looking for a Network Deploy Technician to join our growing team within infrastructure operations. You will work with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks and assist in developing automated and scalable network solutions.
Responsibilities- Scale support for several data center locations and assist with capacity management on a day-to-day basis.
- Collaborate with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution as directed by Network Leadership and Technical Project Managers.
- Leverage experience supporting large-scale, enterprise-grade networks, including network implementation and troubleshooting.
- Provide management and support of AWS’s network infrastructure, establish and follow best practices, and refine operational procedures.
- Manage work and priorities through ticketing systems and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles and troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues (including patch panels and patch cords).
- Specify power and cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking is completed for new equipment.
- Participate in the migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
Travel within and outside of the regional work area is required. A reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license are needed as company transportation is not provided.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications- 1+ years of computer networking experience
- 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience in computer networking
- Experience working with Linux operating systems
- Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds
- Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
- Ability to work in cramped spaces or elevated locations while following health & safety guidelines
- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating under pressure
- Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system
- Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
- Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment)
- Industry-standard certification (CompTIA, CCENT, or Network+) or relevant experience
- Experience with network troubleshooting tools (telnet, tracert, iperf, packet capture tools) or experience in managing/troubleshooting networks
- Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP(S), DNS, and TCP/IP

Base salary ranges are listed with location and may include sign-on bonuses and restricted stock units. Final compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
