Base pay range$88,500.00/yr - $/yr
LocationBased out of Sysco Detroit: 41600 Van Born Rd, Canton, MI 48188, with 30-50% travel to other sites including Sysco Grand Rapids: 3700 Sysco Ct SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512.
Position SummaryThis role supports occupational health focusing on injury prevention, employee wellness, case management, and process improvement across multiple locations within a geographical area. It involves developing and implementing occupational health strategies aligned with business goals and operational needs.
Primary Responsibilities- Manage medical cases to reduce Workers’ Compensation claim frequency, emphasizing the Transitional Duty Program.
- Build relationships with healthcare providers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators to control claim costs.
- Develop and evaluate strategies for workplace triage and first aid to reduce claims.
- Support site First Responder Teams for timely injury response.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA logs and quarterly DOT testing.
- Foster effective communication and relationships within the area to meet EHS strategic goals.
- Support occupational health programs, including disaster response and wellness initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality of health information per HIPAA standards.
- Report injuries and monitor trends.
Education: Bachelor or Associate Degree in Nursing.
Experience: At least 2 years in occupational health, with strong interpersonal skills and a track record of performance management.
Preferred Experience: Background in transportation, warehousing, distribution, or manufacturing; knowledge of safety and workers’ compensation laws.
Licenses & Certifications- Active RN license in the state of residence and within the area of application.
- Occupational Health Nursing certification (COHN or COHN-S) and Case Management certification (ABOHN or CCMC) preferred.

- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage complex workloads and leverage team talents.
