The Quality Control Engineer (QCE) plays an essential role in AWS Data Center Capacity Delivery’s (DCCD) Integrated Project Quality (IPQ) program. This position is responsible for overseeing and executing quality assurance and control (QAQC) processes throughout the lifecycle of data center construction projects, ensuring that all work meets AWS’s high standards for quality, safety, and performance.
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.
You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key Responsibilities- 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission‑critical facilities, including but not limited to data centers, power generation, or oil and gas facilities.
- 4+ years of commissioning experience.
- 5+ years of engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering science field.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems for critical infrastructures.
- Knowledge of current industry standards.
- Experience building strategic relationships with stakeholders, including communicating and collaborating across teams and functions.
- Professional Engineer License.
- Experience with building codes and regulations for your region.
