Direct and supervise the planning, layout, installation, testing, and repair of wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, motors, equipment, and control systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Plan and coordinate the efforts of the craft workers under your supervision and motivate them to accomplish the work safely, correctly, and efficiently. Must possess all necessary tools (see Electrician tool list).

• Perform all principal duties and accountabilities of craft workers under supervision.
• Lead and support all safety-related processes and programs.
• Engage with your work team to achieve zero injuries.
• Understand scheduling, material control, and unit man‑hour performance reporting.
• Familiarize with the Field Progress Management System (FPMS).
• Create and execute a one-week schedule; set crew goals based on project unit rates.
• Review crew’s timecards for correct hours and phase coding; report all accidents and near misses to supervisor.
• Participate in investigation processes and review accident causes with employees.
• Lead, complete, and sign off on daily pre‑job safety planning.
• Identify safety hazards and take corrective action to eliminate or mitigate hazards.
• Ensure crew members understand, participate, and sign all pre‑job safety planning tools.
• Understand and respond appropriately to all safety hazards and warning devices.
• Support, implement, and follow lockout/tagout procedures; attend site‑specific training.
• Use effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Perform basic arithmetic accurately.
• Listen to employees and supervisors’ suggestions, complaints, and safety concerns; devise and implement action plans.
• Consult with the supervisor and HR on any issues.
• Coordinate and communicate work with other crafts and co‑workers on the job.
• Manage other crafts when needed and provide on‑the‑job training.
• Train and teach safety practices, policies, and procedures related to assigned tasks.
• Plan and communicate with the supervisor to ensure adequate supplies of tools, materials, and equipment.
• Understand the scope of work and related project components.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the project plans, specifications, and schedule.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and communicate safety concerns, work scope, plans, and schedules to the crews.
• Participate in quantity report collection as needed daily/weekly.
• Ensure employees produce quality work meeting plan, specification, and industry standards.
• Inspect subordinate’s work for compliance with contract plans, specifications, and industry standards.
• Ensure correct construction procedures are followed during installation.
• Take corrective action when deficiencies are identified.
• Observe installed equipment or systems for hazards, adjustments, or replacements.
• Examine field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost‑saving measures.
• Take corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure construction equipment is correctly operated, maintained, and in good working order.
• Complete performance reviews of craft workers according to Craft Performance Assessment (CPA) Guidelines.
• Confirm subordinates are qualified to perform their work relative to their level.

• Previous experience as a supervisor.
• One or more of the following certifications:
• State Electrical License; NCCER Electrical; NCCER Electrical and Instrumentation Technician; NCCER Pipeline Electrical and Instrumentation Technician; NCCER Project Supervision.

• At least 5 years of experience working as an electrician or similar craft or equivalent training.
