Description of Duties

The State University of New York (SUNY) College at Canton seeks qualified applicants for two full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor positions teaching in the Department of Nursing beginning August 2024.

Duties include teaching in the classroom, skills lab, and clinical areas for the RN and/or RN-BSN nursing program.

Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities include student advisement, scholarly activity, assisting in program and curriculum development, assessment, and institutional service.

Qualifications

Required:

* Valid unencumbered NYS RN license required.

* Master of Science degree in nursing required at the time of hire, terminal degree preferred (e.g. Ph.D., DNP, Ed.D), terminal degree required for continuing appointment.

Preferred:

* Three years teaching experience preferred.

Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, and criminal background check.
