Con Met’s Canton, NC plastics manufacturing facility is seeking a skilled, hands‑on Manufacturing Engineer to support operations by analyzing processes and driving efficiency improvements across new and existing production lines.
What You Will Do- Provide engineering support for the development and integration of new product lines into existing plant operations.
- Identify manufacturing operations that could best benefit from engineering analysis.
- Perform detailed analysis of manufacturing operations and propose modifications to improve operations.
- Analyze and redesign workstations for improved ergonomics and efficiency.
- Perform economic assessment of manufacturing alternatives.
- Analyze process flow and propose improvements for increased cost‑efficiency.
- Develop cost‑effective and robust production processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of related experience.
- Manufacturing and assembly processes experience and knowledge.
- SAP (or equivalent ERP system) experience.
- CNC programming and PLC experience – preferred.
- Core Tool (APQP & FMEA) and GD&T experience – preferred.
- Ultrasonic/Vibration welding for plastics – preferred.
