Finishing Operator
-Temp to Hire
The Greer Group has exciting new temp-to-hire opportunities available for experienced Finishing Operators to support Paint, Hydro, and Assembly operations in the Canton, NC area. If you are looking for a stable manufacturing opportunity with a 4-day work week and overtime potential, apply today!

Shift: Monday
-Thursday, 6: 00 AM
-4: 30 PM
Pay: $18.50/hour
Overtime: Time and a half paid after 40 hours worked

What You Will Do:

• Follow written work instructions to meet or exceed production and customer delivery requirements.
• Inspect parts throughout the production process to ensure quality standards are met.
• Detect and report nonconforming materials to supervisors or leads.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Maintain accurate production records.
• Perform a variety of production and assembly tasks including:
  • Inserting purchased components
  • Preparing work areas and packaging materials
  • Following daily schedules/manifests
  • Assembling products to work instructions
  • Prepping parts for paint
  • Operating computerized labeling systems
  • Packaging finished products
  • Reporting scrap
• Safely use various tools and equipment including:
  • Gate cutters
  • Welders
  • Utility knives
  • Deburrers
  • Routers and buffers
  • Rivet and glue guns
  • Drills, hammers, pliers, screwdrivers
  • Air hoses and staplers
  • PPE and verification stations
• Follow all plant safety and environmental policies and procedures.

What You Need to Be Successful:

• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 12 months of manufacturing or related experience.
• Ability to access information on a computer and operate a labeling scan gun.
• Ability to lift up to 35-pound racks consistently.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
