We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Support Specialist to provide comprehensive clerical and transactional support within our Accounting Department. This role involves processing customer billings, remittances, invoices, and other high-volume accounting data with accuracy and efficiency. Industry experience is not required, but strong analytical skills, basic Excel proficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. Familiarity with systems such as People Soft, Brainware/OnBase, and Service Now is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, process, and review recurring accounting transactions including incoming/outgoing invoices, remittance advices, and customer payments.
  • Research, analyze, and resolve discrepancies related to transactional accounting data.
  • Review general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and support month-end tasks.
  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and documenting accounting processes and procedures.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries, providing clear and timely information.
  • Build effective working relationships with internal teams and business partners.
  • Serve as a resource and provide support to junior team members as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Business or Accounting OR High School/GED with years of accounting experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with accounting transactional data and invoice processing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (required).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working with high-volume transaction environments.
  • Familiarity with accounting and workflow tools such as People Soft, Brainware/OnBase, and Service Now.
  • Strong customer service orientation with experience resolving invoice issues and identifying processing errors.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, timeliness, and teamwork.
  • Physical Demand:
    Sedentary role.
  • Ability to manage frequent interruptions while maintaining productivity and accuracy.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
