Job Summary

Job DescriptionWhat You’ll Do:
- Prepare and review journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements and assist with balance sheet reviews and detailed account analysis.
- Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including variance analysis and financial integrity checks.
- Assist in preparing FERC financial reports and GAAP financial statements, including footnotes and MD&A.
- Support internal management reporting and respond to auditor data requests.
- Provide analysis and support for regulatory filings and proceedings.
- Develop and cultivate positive business relationships between Accounting and other AEP business partners.
- Proactively assess, develop and enhance processes and procedures on a continuous basis.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business with an Accounting concentration. - Experience:
2 years of accounting experience (Accountant II Only). - Strong understanding of GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements.
- CPA or progress toward certification preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft products and familiarity with ERP systems. People Soft experience a plus.
- Demonstrate the highest standards of ethical behavior.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- This is an on‑site role based out of Canton, OH.
- Salary Range between $64,000‑$87,000
