Laborer; Part-Time​/Seasonal

Salary Range: $11.19 to $18.21

To be eligible for the position, all applicants must be at least 16 years of age and either a U.S. citizen or provide a copy of their valid Permanent Resident Card.

This is a part-time and seasonal position with variable daily work hours. Seasonal Employment is available from May 1 through September 30.

This position is available in various City Service Departments. Applicants may choose/specify the department that they would like to apply for.

This position requires heavy physical work. Therefore, employees in this class must be in good physical condition. Repetitive work is expected to be performed. Duties must be performed efficiently.

• Serves as a laborer. Responsible for various general laborer duties. Job duties is dependent upon the department and seasonal assignment. Responsible for personal safety practices.

• Physical ability to work outdoors in extreme and adverse conditions is a must.
• Ability to carry out oral and written instructions with minimum detail.
• Must possess adequate communication skills and deal tactfully with citizens and the public.

• Minimum age is generally 16 years old. A work permit is required for students ages 17 and under.
