The International Sales Administrator is responsible for supporting and coordinating international sales activities while ensuring compliance with applicable U.S. export control regulations and company policies. This position serves as a key point of contact for international customers, providing accurate and timely quotations, order support, and customer service throughout the sales process and supports all Service Steel Aerospace locations.
This position manages export licensing requirements, performs export order reviews, utilizes LCS to track and maintain licensing information, and supports the company's export compliance program through training, documentation, and regulatory monitoring. The role works closely with Sales, Operations, Shipping, and Compliance teams to ensure international transactions are accurately quoted, properly authorized, and fulfilled in accordance with customer requirements and applicable export regulations.

Sedentary Work
- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. - Prepare and manage quotes for international customers, including pricing, lead times, availability, freight considerations, and applicable export requirements.
- Respond to international customer inquiries and provide timely follow-up on quotes, orders, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Manage export licensing activities, including determining applicable license requirements and coordinating license applications, renewals, and recordkeeping.
- Perform export order reviews to ensure international transactions comply with applicable U.S. export control regulations and company policies.
- Utilize LCS (License Compliance System) to review, track, and manage export licenses, authorizations, and compliance requirements.
- Review customers, end users, destinations, products, and transaction details for potential export compliance concerns.
- Support compliance with ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and other applicable export control requirements.
- Develop and conduct export compliance training for Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Shipping, and other employees involved in international transactions.
- Maintain accurate export compliance records, licenses, supporting documentation, and audit files within LCS and other company systems.
- Identify and escalate potential export compliance violations, licensing issues, and red flags.
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Shipping, and Compliance teams to ensure international orders are properly reviewed and authorized before shipment.
- Monitor regulatory changes affecting international sales and communicate relevant requirements to internal stakeholders.
- Assist with internal and external compliance audits and support corrective actions when required.
- 5+ years of experience in international sales administration, export compliance, customer service, order management, or a related field in the metals industry.
- Experience preparing and managing quotes for international customers, including pricing, lead times, product availability, and delivery requirements.
- Experience with export licensing, export order review, and export compliance processes.
- Working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and U.S. export control regulations.
- Experience using LCS (License Compliance System) or similar export licensing/compliance software.
- Experience reviewing international transactions for license requirements, restricted parties, end users, destinations, and product classifications.
- Ability to conduct and/or support export compliance training for employees.
