Role Overview
The Dispensary Associate at Greenleaf Apothecaries is responsible for interacting with, educating, and advising customers face‑to‑face and over the phone. The role includes cash and point‑of‑sale transactions, record‑keeping, inventory assistance, and compliance with state regulations.
Responsibilities- Provide excellent customer service to all customers, communicating positively in person and on the phone.
- Accurately process all point‑of‑sale transactions and verify order accuracy.
- Resolve customer inquiries professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
- Perform end‑of‑day closing procedures in the POS system and investigate any variances, reporting findings to the closing manager.
- Comply with standard operating procedures, state regulations, and company policies, maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment and assist the team in sanitizing work areas and tools.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Dependable team player with a strong work ethic, able to work 2–3 Saturdays per month.
- Experience in a fast‑paced customer service role preferred.
- Medical marijuana knowledge a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to learn and accurately use the company’s point‑of‑sale and patient data management software systems.
- Night and weekend availability required.
- Subject to change as business needs.
Must be able to work quickly but efficiently while maintaining product integrity, lift up to 50 lbs (with assistance for heavier weights), stand for extended periods, and adhere to facility hygiene requirements.
