The Department of General Surgery at Cleveland Clinic is currently seeking Staff Surgeon candidates to join our growing Section of Acute Care Surgery and Trauma at Mercy Hospital. The Acute Care Surgery and Trauma Section currently practice at five Cleveland Clinic locations:
Akron General Hospital–Level 1 Trauma Center, Fairview Hospital–Level 2 Trauma Center, Hillcrest Hospital–Level 2 Trauma Center, Mercy Hospital–Level 2 Trauma Center and Main Campus Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Our Acute Care Surgeons can rotate at other locations if desired and the program is expanding rapidly with several opportunities.
Candidates should be fellowship trained and board certified/eligible in surgical critical care, able to obtain an Ohio medical license and meet hospital credentialing requirements. An interest in an elective general surgery practice is welcome. An active research interest in general surgery and trauma is also encouraged and will be supported. We are committed to the teaching of residents and students in patient care and research.
A faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with experience will be with the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.
