The Division of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Malone University, in Canton, Ohio, is seeking qualified applicants for a position as an Open Rank Professor within their Psychology Programs. This is a full-time, 9-month, in-residence, tenure-track position with a start date in mid-August 2025.
The successful candidate will have an earned Ph.D. in Psychology.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Teaching: 24 credit hours per academic year (fall + spring) on a 9-month contract
- Course Development:
Revise existing courses and develop new ones as needed - Recruitment:
Assist with admissions, including interviewing, evaluating, and selecting applicants - Advising:
Provide academic advising and support student retention and remediation efforts - Scholarship:
Engage in scholarly activities related to psychology - Service:
Contribute to the department, university, church, and community
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Psychology
- Commitment to teaching excellence, professional development, and research
- Ability to work with diverse student populations and promote cross-cultural curricula
- Deep personal commitment to Jesus Christ and integrating faith and learning in academia
