Overview
Lead and Assistant Preschool Teachers are sought to join our Silver Star Rated (SUTQ) childcare and preschool center located in Canton, Ohio. You will be an essential member of a team of qualified teachers who are talented, fun, and genuinely enthusiastic about child development and learning. You must be comfortable working with groups of children ranging from 6 weeks to 12 years of age.

CompensationCompetitive pay ranging from $16.00 to $22.50 per hour (depending on experience and credentials).
Responsibilities- Provide support for the Lead Teacher with any responsibilities and duties
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to design and implement daily activities and routines tailored to each child
- Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment in compliance with licensing and accreditation standards
- Assist in planning and implementing educational and recreational activities that support physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development
- Ensure play, sleep, and changing areas are sanitized and clean
- Communicate regularly with families, providing updates on child progress and milestones
- Participate in professional development and staff meetings to stay current with best practices in early childhood education
- Minimum of a high school diploma/GED
- Possession of a CDA, AA or higher degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field is a plus for Assistant Teachers and required for Lead Teachers
- At least one year of child care experience in a licensed ODJFS program
- Experience teaching and working with children from 6 weeks to 2 years of age
- Current physical and ability to pass BCI/FBI background check
- Basic language, written, and computer skills for communication and documentation
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for infants and young children
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Reliable, compassionate, and able to create a warm, nurturing and responsive environment for children and families
- Dependable with good punctuality and attendance
- Applicants must have current legal authorization to work in the United States
- Tdap and MMR Vaccination; TB Screening
- Physical ability to kneel, bend, squat, stand, and sit on child-sized furniture or on the floor for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move children up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in a moderate to noisy environment
- Preparedness to assist children in emergency situations
- Ability to stay within arm's reach of children and participate in safety drills
- Endurance for varying outdoor conditions across seasons
