Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma (or equivalent); associates degree preferred
• Must obtain an acceptable performance on qualification test (includes reading, math and computer skills)
• Must obtain an Education Aide Permit with ESEA Endorsement through ODE
• Must be able to monitor student learning and behavior
• Must be able to motivate special needs children
• Must have ability to take directions and work collaboratively with staff members
• Must exhibit patience and flexibility in all situations and demonstrate a strong work ethic
• Must possess an optimistic attitude and good public relations skills
• Must have a good record of punctuality and demonstrate building average attendance
• Must have a sound belief that ALL children can and will learn and evidence of emotional maturity and stability necessary for the specialized work involved
• Must support the district beliefs
• Must perform other duties as assigned
• Must have an acceptable background check and complete all required personnel records

Duties To Possibly Include (but not limited to):

• Work well with students who have challenging behaviors
• Must have strong communication skills
