PERFORMANCE

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Help students develop and observe proper rules and procedures
• Monitor and maintain behavior and reinforce acceptable behavior, promotewholesome intra-school and community - school relations
• When needed, organize students into orderly groups to assist them in their assigned areas
• Inform the teacher or Principal of any serious infraction of disciplinary rulesby students
• Assist with setting up and using instructional equipment such as computers,audiovisual equipment, and related technology
• Maintain the confidentiality of student/staff information and records, and student behavior
• Monitor activities in the hall, lavatory, recess, lunch, playground, classroom,or wherever assigned including, but not limited to, emergency drills and assemblies
• Assist with other duties such as planning activities, preparing instructional materials and classroom records and assisting with the organization of various activities from beginning to end
• Implement and execute provisions of State Statutes, Board Policies and Administrative rules and regulations
• Deal with occasional exposure to blood and bodily fluids, and students with various illnesses
• Interact with a diverse student population
• Handle interactions among unruly children
• Comply with all Plain Local Board of Education policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as directed
