The location for this position is anywhere in United States, not only Cleveland, Ohio. Linked In requires a city, not only country. There are multiple positions for both full-time and part-time.
Primary Job Duties:
- Conduct on-site welding operation audits to review processes, practices and procedures for clients. Writing post-audit reports and presenting findings with recommendations.
- Develop and qualify welding procedures and welders using a multitude of welding processes and materials. Determining and recommending appropriate techniques and consumables to reach the desired results.
- Conduct or witness weld procedure qualification tests, inspections, and non-destructive testing to assist clients in identifying and addressing defects or deviations.
- Developing weld quality manuals and procedures.
- Provide weld QA/QC oversight.
- Overseeing weld repairs for clients on plan infrastructure and equipment.
- Inspect welds for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to assist in system design and fabrication.
- Conduct research and development activities related to welding processes and technologies.
- Metallography.
Knowledge & Requirements:
- Previous experience in welding engineering or related role.
- Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field - desired
- Proficient in various welding techniques and processes.
- Proficiency in using welding equipment and related software.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to understand requirements for high-quality welds and fitness-for-service.
- Understanding of industry codes and standards (AWS, ASME, API, NAVSEA, ISO, etc.)
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Consultants may travel up to 70% of the time working on-site with clients in a variety of industries. When not traveling Consultants may work remotely.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

- 8 hour shift or as needed - will discuss
