Position: ELECTRONIC TECH - CLINICAL ENG

Purpose of Position

This position provides technical support to equipment users throughout Aultman Health Foundation, including the repair, preventive maintenance, calibration, installation and inspection of medical, electronic and communication devices and/or systems.

Responsibilities & Expectations
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on various medical, electronic and communications equipment and/or systems.
  • Maintain equipment/systems inventories and all pertinent maintenance documentation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during all interactions with co‑workers and customers.
  • Follow up with end users when resolutions are not met in a timely manner.
  • Attend assigned training seminars, schools and in‑services as required.
  • Coordinate outside service with vendors/OEM as needed.
  • Any other associated duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Associate’s Degree or structured advanced training in Biomedical Engineering or military equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience in applied biomedical and electronic principles.
  • Valid Ohio driver license.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and related technology.
  • Knowledge with schematics and blueprints, calibration of equipment, digital and analog circuitry.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and problem‑solving skills.
  • Professional communication skills – both verbal and written.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and without direct supervision as well as in a team‑driven environment.
  • Reliable and punctual for all shift requirements.

Working Conditions
  • Rotating shifts, weekends, on‑call assignments and holidays as assigned.
  • Lunch and breaks as per hospital policy.
  • Travel to various assigned sites/locations as required.
  • Works in well‑lit and ventilated office area.
  • Primarily walking/standing during working hours. Some moderate lifting required.
  • Subject to changes in priorities.
  • Subject to frequent interruptions due to questions from staff members and customers.
