Purpose: This role integrates and expands Timken’s non‑destructive evaluation (NDE) capabilities for aerospace products, ensures NADCAP compliance, and supports regional business units by standardizing, training, certifying, and auditing suppliers and internal plants.
Key Responsibilities- Lead planning and execution of NADCAP audits and related corrective actions.
- Provide metallurgical/NDE support and lead problem‑solving during high‑fallout events.
- Serve as regional NDE SME: develop SOPs, train/mentor staff, and audit external vendors.
- Represent Timken in customer audits and align internal standards with industry requirements.
- Maintain and calibrate NDE equipment; manage spare parts and lab records.
- Produce regular technical and calibration reports; drive NDE‑related innovation and improvements.
- Ensure compliance with EHS, 5S, PSI, and company ethics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 3 years NDE experience (ECT, MPI, UT); 7+ years preferred.
- ASNT/NAS
410 Level III in NDE disciplines preferred. - Strong technical writing, training, and problem‑solving skills; proactive and detail‑oriented.
This position may require access to United States export‑controlled technical data (“CTD”) and hardware under the Departments of US State (ITAR) and/or Commerce (EAR). Eligible candidates are: US Citizens, Green Card holders, Asylees, or others eligible to receive US export license authorizations. Candidate must be authorized to work in the US.
