Electrical Designer - Power Distribution - OH
Description
Myers Controlled Power has been a leading producer of engineered-to-order low and medium voltage power distribution equipment. We are seeking a detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our team. In this role, you will develop and optimize programs for multi-axis and horizontal machines supporting sheet metal fabrication, playing a key role in driving efficiency, accuracy, and overall production performance. This position is based in Canton, Ohio.
Responsibilities- Create and revise electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD or similar software
- Design power distribution systems to meet client and code requirements (5
Kv-38
Kv) - Modify design documents per customer input and submit for re-approval.
- Create electrical bill of materials and log data in manufacturing data base.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NESC, IEEE, and company design standards
- Support field and construction teams with redlines, as-builts, and design clarifications
- Associate’s degree in electrical technology or 4+ years’ experience in with medium voltage, preferably in power distribution.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Solid Works, or similar drafting tools
- Strong understanding of NEC and electrical distribution standards
- Effective communication and team collaboration skills
