Position: Stark County Court of Common Pleas - REENTRY PROGRAM COORDINATOR

STARK COUNTY COURT OF COMMON PLEAS NOTICE OF POSITION OPENING POSITION TITLE: REENTRY PROGRAM COORDINATOR

The Court of Common Pleas, General Division, is seeking an individual to serve as a Reentry Program Coordinator for the Reentry Program. The primary purpose of this job is, under the direct supervision of the Reentry Program Director and the general supervision of the Deputy Court Administrator to coordinate and facilitate the Reentry Court treatment docket and to assist the Reentry Program Director in responsibly planning, organizing, developing, coordinating and directing all aspects of the Reentry Program.

You would provide assistance to the Reentry Director in operation of the Reentry Program and implement changes as needed to improve the program. You would assume program responsibilities in the absence of the Director and coordinate and facilitate services for the Reentry Court Treatment docket, acting as a liaison between the Reentry Court and treatment providers. Reviewing, updating and maintaining policies and procedures that govern the Reentry Program and ensure that all areas of the program are conducted according to program policies and procedures.

You would be expected to maintain an atmosphere conducive to the program philosophy and in regard to the dignity and rights of the clients in the program. Establishing and maintaining viable and effective relationships with the Court, Jail, Probation/Parole Officers, Prosecutor’s Office, Attorneys and Service Providers. You would maintain and establish cooperative agreements with the local community providers and criminal justice partners to plan and promote Reentry programs and projects.

You would maintain the confidentiality of all program and client information. Attend and participate in workshops and seminars to keep abreast of current changes in the Reentry Program. Represent the program in the community and participate in meetings as required. Maintain accurate records and statistical data; submit other reports as required. Maintain strict confidentiality with respect to all information, including client information processed in regard to the operations of the Reentry Program.

Report any concerns or recommendations to the Reentry Program Director, Deputy Court Administrator, Court Administrator and/or the Reentry Court Judge.

Qualifications:

Must possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience. Must possess a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in criminal justice or social services.

Unusual working conditions: you will be working with justice involved clientele.
