Belden Village Nursing is now hiring for a Full Time Transportation Coordinator!

The Appointment Transportation Coordinator is responsible for safely transporting residents to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other scheduled outings as directed by nursing or administrative staff. This role ensures residents are accompanied with care, dignity, and respect, maintaining communication with healthcare providers and facility staff to support continuity of care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport residents to and from scheduled appointments using company vehicles or ambulatory transportation services.
  • Assist residents in and out of vehicles, wheelchairs, or stretchers, ensuring safety at all times.
  • Confirm appointment times and locations, coordinate schedules with nursing and medical staff.
  • Ensure all necessary paperwork, medical records, or documentation accompanies residents to appointments.
  • Communicate any changes in resident condition, appointment outcomes, or concerns to nursing staff promptly.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of transportation vehicles and equipment.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
  • Provide friendly, courteous assistance to residents, families, and medical personnel.
  • Follow all facility policies and procedures related to safety, infection control, and resident care.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if driving is required).
  • Prior experience working with elderly
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and appointment protocols a plus.
  • Ability to assist with resident mobility, including lifting, transferring, or use of mobility aids.
  • Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
