We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused Resident Care Assistant to join our team. The Resident Care Assistant provides assistance with activities of daily living while promoting the dignity, independence, comfort, and well-being of our residents. The ideal candidate is caring, patient, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service and quality care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including:
- Bathing
- Dressing
- Grooming
- Toileting
- Ambulation and transfers
- Assist residents with meals, hydration, and dining services as needed.
- Observe and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or mental condition to nursing staff.
- Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests for assistance.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Assist with resident activities and encourage participation in social programs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
- Follow all infection control, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Accurately document care provided according to community policies.
- Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff, department leaders, residents, and families.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous caregiving experience preferred but not required.
- Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Must be reliable, compassionate, and resident-centered.
- Ability to safely assist residents with mobility and transfers.
- Must successfully complete all required training and background checks.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist residents throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
- Ability to push, pull, and transfer residents safely using proper techniques.
