We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused Resident Care Assistant to join our team. The Resident Care Assistant provides assistance with activities of daily living while promoting the dignity, independence, comfort, and well-being of our residents. The ideal candidate is caring, patient, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service and quality care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including:
    • Bathing
    • Dressing
    • Grooming
    • Toileting
    • Ambulation and transfers
  • Assist residents with meals, hydration, and dining services as needed.
  • Observe and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or mental condition to nursing staff.
  • Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests for assistance.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
  • Assist with resident activities and encourage participation in social programs.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
  • Follow all infection control, safety, and emergency procedures.
  • Accurately document care provided according to community policies.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with nursing staff, department leaders, residents, and families.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous caregiving experience preferred but not required.
  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Must be reliable, compassionate, and resident-centered.
  • Ability to safely assist residents with mobility and transfers.
  • Must successfully complete all required training and background checks.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist residents throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to push, pull, and transfer residents safely using proper techniques.
