Field experience generally consists of requisite hours of direct service (involving clients) and administrative duties. During the internship experience, interns are responsible for ensuring the timely completion of all required documentation related to their experience and required by their institution.

Intern job responsibilities will be based upon educational level and licensure, as well as department/program assignment. Interns are considered employees (non-paid) of Comm Quest and are required to complete background checks, fingerprinting, drug screens, TB test clearance, a mandatory orientation, and essential trainings as conditions of employment during their time with the organization.

In this role, interns will:
  • Gain insight and experience in the mental health field in various clinical and non-clinical settings
  • Acquire knowledge and experience working at a mission driven non‑profit organization
  • Benefit from professional development experiences including attending trainings and receiving certifications
  • Build valuable relationships and increase your professional network

Internship opportunities are available for students in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, PMHNP practicum, APRN clinical rotations, and undergraduate programs in psychology, sociology, criminal justice, human resources, and marketing. Placements are limited and subject to supervision availability and program requirements.
