Activities Aide

Canton Christian Home is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable
Activities Aide to join our team! We are a nonprofit, 5-Star long-term care community that has proudly served residents for 50 years.

The Activities Aide helps plan and lead engaging programs that support our residents’ social, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. The ideal candidate enjoys working with older adults and knows how to make every resident feel welcomed and included.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with games, crafts, music, parties, outings, and other resident activities
• Encourage residents to participate in programs
• Prepare activity areas and gather needed supplies
• Assist residents to and from activities
• Provide one-on-one visits for residents when needed
• Help decorate for holidays and special events
• Maintain activity attendance records and documentation
• Follow all safety, infection-control, and confidentiality policies
• Work cooperatively with residents, families, and other departments

Qualifications:

• Caring, patient, positive, and dependable
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable working with older adults and individuals with different care needs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience in long-term care or activities is preferred but not required
• Must be available to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
