Cafe Associate

What you will do

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise; collaborate with cross‑functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively with team members; and be flexible to meet business needs by working in other areas.
• Prepare food according to item specifications; understand and plan future productions and mass productions; plan for seasonality; adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment; and demonstrate an understanding of product and layout execution.
• Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, ordering merchandise, receiving club pickup orders, training, and product quality; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
• Drive the performance of the area; stock and rotate merchandise; ensure quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; provide member service by acknowledging members and identifying their needs; assist members with purchasing decisions, payment types, locating merchandise, and resolving member issues and concerns.
• Act as a brand advocate; develop, influence, and inspire others to work in a style that is respectful, supportive, and team‑oriented; understand roadblocks and assist in training.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics standards by implementing related action plans; apply the Open Door Policy to execute business processes and practices.
• Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicate progress; recommend improvement opportunities; and adapt to change, difficulties, and feedback.

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
