Material Control Manager

Powell Industries seeks a Material Control Manager to lead inventory planning and flow for tech and software hardware assets supporting our solutions. You will own demand forecasting, purchasing coordination, and warehouse accuracy to ensure projects have the right materials at the right time. Partnering with engineering, IT, and operations, you'll optimize ERP/MRP processes, analyze stock and usage data, and drive cost, quality, and lead-time improvements.

You'll mentor a small team, refine controls and documentation, and support a fast-paced, innovative culture with clear growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee material planning, inventory levels, and stock accuracy for tech-related assets
• Manage ERP/MRP settings to align demand, purchasing, and production schedules
• Coordinate with engineering, IT, and operations to forecast material requirements
• Lead and develop a material control/warehouse team, setting goals and KPIs
• Implement and maintain inventory controls, cycle counts, and documentation standards
• Analyze material usage, lead times, and costs; recommend process improvements
• Collaborate with vendors and internal buyers to ensure on-time, quality supply
• Support audits and compliance with internal standards and customer requirements
