Day Shift: Monday – Friday: 7 AM to 3 PM

Afternoon Shift: Monday – Friday: 3 PM to 11 PM

Night Shift: Sunday Night – Thursday Night: 11 PM to 7 AM

Position Overview

The Industrial Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, electronic, and control systems supporting heavy industrial manufacturing operations. This role ensures safe, reliable operation of production equipment, utilities, and facility electrical systems in a fast-paced, high-heat, and high-voltage environment.

General Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, including:
    Motors, drives, starters, contractors, relays, and transformers; AC/DC circuits, control panels, MCCs, and power distribution systems.
  • Read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems and production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical failures on production equipment, furnaces, material handling, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Safely perform work on 480V and higher voltage systems in compliance with electrical safety standards.
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and plant improvement projects.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation.
  • Adhere to all LOTO, arc-flash, and electrical safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly care for tools and equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read and write in English.
  • Completion of an industrial electrical apprenticeship, technical trade program, or equivalent on-the-job experience.
  • 2+ years of industrial electrical experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical and control systems independently.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Proficiency with electrical testing equipment (multimeters, megohmmeters, etc.).
  • Strong working knowledge of industrial power distribution; motor controls and VFD’s;
    Electrical safety standards and LOTO procedures.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand majority of shift.
  • Job involves frequent standing, walking, twisting, turning, reaching, bending, climbing steps, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly throughout shift.
  • Must be able to tolerate extreme heat in summer months and extreme cold during winter months.
