Works with advanced CNC equipment to machine precision metal parts using lathes, mills, and grinders. Programs, sets up, and operates computer-controlled machines to fabricate high-quality components that meet strict specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Bring precision parts to life by setting up, operating, and adjusting CNC machines based on detailed work orders.
  • Produce high-quality machined components through accurate setup, production, and inspection processes.
  • Choose the right tools, fixtures, and materials to ensure efficient and accurate machining.
  • Verify part quality using precision measuring tools and CMM equipment to ensure tight tolerances.
  • Troubleshoot and correct machining issues by adjusting equipment as needed.
  • Interpret blueprints, layouts, and GD&T requirements to ensure proper execution of each job.
  • Keep production data accurate through detailed EPICOR reporting.
  • Maximize efficiency by completing secondary tasks during machine cycle times.
  • Support equipment reliability through minor maintenance and inspections.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
  • Follow all safety standards while contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, AND PROFICIENCIES:

Ability to operate various types of machine tools to perform progressive machining. Ability to read blueprints and plans. Excellent mechanical skills. Excellent time management skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational/technical school training and apprenticeship in Machining Technology or CNC Machining trade school preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Prolonged periods of standing and bending required. Must be able to lift 35 pounds at a time.
