Position: Warehouse / Material Handler - 1st Shift

Position Summary

Standard Printing Company is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Warehouse Material Handler to support efficient press operations. This position plays a critical role in production flow by ensuring all job materials are properly verified, staged, and ready for each press run. The Expeditor also supports inventory control, handles required documentation, and moves finished materials to the next stage of operation.

This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role requiring strong attention to detail, organization, and safe material handling practices. Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) experience is required.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Transport work‑in‑process materials throughout the facility using Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and other material handling equipment.
  • Move finished materials from presses to the next stage of operation (bindery, finishing, shipping, etc.) to maintain continuous workflow.
  • Remove scrap materials from production areas and transport to designated recycling or waste containers.
  • Return unused materials to inventory and restock press‑side supplies as needed.
  • Maintain organized, clean, and safe material storage and production areas.
  • Assist with inventory control and material tracking to ensure accurate material flow.
  • Coordinate with press operators and production supervisors to support production efficiency.
  • Confirm materials match job specifications (stock type, quantity, ink, coatings, etc.) prior to movement or restocking.
  • Review job tickets for accuracy and completeness prior to production runs.
  • Complete and manage required production paperwork and documentation.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • PIT experience required.
  • Prior experience in printing, manufacturing, warehouse, or production environments preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret job tickets and production documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally with press operators and supervisors.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, push, or move materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and material handling.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other PIT equipment safely.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing/production floor environment.
  • Temperature and Humidity controlled building.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts and material handling equipment.
  • PPE required as designated by safety guidelines.
