Inplant Ink Technician

Job Responsibilities

• Maintaining INX's excellent relationship with the customer
• Reviewing scheduling and coordinating jobs with customer
• Being available for service call‑ins as needed
• Performing technical service, color matching, ink production and dispensing ink
• Evaluating production requirements based on customer schedule changes
• Controlling work‑off
• Inventory management and monthly consignment counts
• Performing job estimates
• Providing press‑side technical support
• Completing monthly reports
• Performing quality control tests on incoming and site‑manufactured batches
• Following all safety requirements
• Data entry accuracy
• Manufacturing batches under 100 pounds

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

• Have a High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
• Be able to match colors effectively and pass a color vision test
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
• Effectively communicate with peers and customers
• Have excellent written, reading comprehension and math skills
• Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs and other computer skills
• Have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
• Have good organization skills
• 2 to 5 years of work‑related experience

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:

• Spectrophotometer knowledge & experience helpful
• Technically qualified to service Offset Sheetfed products
• Familiar with X‑Rite IQC
• Flexible packaging knowledge
• Flexographic printing knowledge
• Solvent ink knowledge
• Previous lab, in‑plant, and warehouse experience
• SAP Knowledge
• In‑plant pressroom experience
• College degree
