Job SummaryThe Painter is responsible for preparing, mixing, and applying paints to various surfaces using pressure pots and conventional spray methods. This role requires knowledge of metal finishing, attention to detail in paint thickness checks, and the ability to safely handle and store paint and supplies. The Painter will also assist with inventory management, ensuring that supplies are well stocked and available for production needs.
Responsibilities- Understand and adhere to all operating and safety procedures within the paint department.
- Prepare and mix paints according to specifications, ensuring the correct color, texture, and consistency.
- Apply paint to surfaces using pressure pots and conventional spray methods, ensuring a smooth, even, and high‑quality finish.
- Perform metal finishing tasks to prepare surfaces for painting.
- Conduct regular inventory checks on paints, supplies, and materials; requisition additional supplies as needed.
- Accurately measure and check paint thickness to meet quality and industry standards.
- Assist other team members within the paint department as required, contributing to smooth operations.
- Customer focus with a service‑oriented attitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and adaptability to changes in daily activities.
- Ability to travel and work overtime or weekends, as needed.
- Background check, drug/alcohol screening, and clean driving record required.
