Production Technician

Production Technician in the Synthomer Inc. Chemical Manufacturing Plant located in Mogadore, Ohio.

$23.81/hr to start.

Responsibilities include cleaning chemical plant equipment and packaging finished products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform cleaning tasks such as tanks, tank cars, and polymerization vessels.
• Operate forklift to transfer pallets of raw materials to mezzanine.
• Record data accurately in written or electronic formats.
• Transfer products through proper lines, ensuring correct hookups and checking lines and valves.
• Package and label products in totes and drums correctly.
• Know tank capacities and manage product transfer to packaging.
• Manage multiple tasks safely and efficiently, notifying supervisors of issues.
• Communicate effectively with team members and complete all required paperwork.
• Participate in meetings and training sessions as required.
• Work overtime and various shifts, including off-shift or swing shift, as needed.
• Follow all safety and environmental policies.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent; manufacturing experience a plus.
• Positive attitude, pride, and ownership in work.
• Skills in reading, math, technology, observation, and teamwork.
• Ability to handle up to 50 pounds and work at heights.
• Effective communication and data recording skills.
• Willingness to learn new tasks and applications.
• Proficiency with computer applications (Word, Excel, Email).
• Ability to work outdoors and indoors in all weather conditions.
• Physical ability to meet job requirements, including PPE usage.
• ISO-9001 and Process Safety Management familiarity is a plus.
