Job Description
Responsible for ensuring that workstations on the manufacturing floor have all materials needed to complete the job and that the materials match the Bill of Materials. This position is responsible for the set up of workstations with all materials needed for production.
Job Duties- Deliver materials at production workstations for current job according to Bill of Material (BOM).
- Ensure materials are available and ready when new production job is ready for start-up.
- Return unused materials to designated staging area after production run.
- Ensure that everything is ready and available when mold is ready to start up.
- Clean hoppers for material and color changes.
- Monitor and maintain proper regrind percentages.
- Wrap all skids of production after they have been audited. Make sure they are skidded and labeled properly.
- Re-palletize, re-stack and condense cardboard or totes. Determine the recyclability of the cardboard and then properly dispose.
- Stack and tear down all empty gaylords and skids.
- Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (ISO 9001).
- Maintain a safe and clean production area.
- Empty all trash cans at end of shift.
- Keep presses clean of split material and dye.
- Grind scrap that is produced during the shift.
- Adhere to all safety and manufacturing policies and rules, including wearing all required PPE (hearing protection, composite toe shoes, gloves, etc.).
- Safely operate forklift and floor jack to move raw material and finished goods.
- Safely operate band saw and grinders to recycle scrap materials.
- Provide break coverage to Operators.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor / Manager.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience working in manufacturing. Injection Molding is preferred.
- Previous experience operating forklift.
- Ability to read and understand Bill of Materials.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification.
- Ability to successfully complete training for LOTO, band saw, grinder and other safety requirements as required.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand / walk for extended periods of time, climb ladders, and work in manufacturing environment.
Full-Time - Non-Exempt
Pay$16 - $18 per hour
