Purpose:
To safely produce and ship quality products to our customers in a timely and efficient manner. Receive and prepare products on the polymer emulsion product line, preparing orders for shipment while following prescribed safety, quality, lean activities (5S), inventory, production and shipping processes and standards.
Key Accountabilities:
- Product line subject matter expert related to production/manufacturing activities including Efamily, Batch Room and Soil Sement
- Ensure that the provided equipment to complete production is in top operating condition
- Utilize plant scheduling system for daily tasks and assignments
- Follow the Work Order Packaging instructions to ensure products are correctly packaged for shipment.
- Prepare, package and label chemical orders for shipment
- Properly transfer raw materials from their designated work area into their appropriate storage areas.
- Transfer material in bulk tanker trucks between plant facilities; position tanker trucks for loading
- Spot-check the packing list for incoming materials before submitting to Shipping and Receiving
- Package the finished product into the designated container (tote, pail, carton) and prepare for shipment, including printing product labels
- Perform shipping and receiving, including scheduling shipments and documenting receipts; utilize inventory system to track product
- Weigh material, inspect the package integrity, load the material onto the transport carrier and ensure the accompanying paperwork is properly processed; create weight tickets for trucks
- Responsible for the accuracy of the inventory in work area to ensure work area is stocked
- Participate in cycle counts for the raw materials and accurately count the assigned items on a weekly basis.
- Initiate Inventory reorder and perform operator quality checks
- When an issue occurs that prevents work from being accomplished, proactively elevate the issue to the supervisor for resolution.
- Proactively identify process improvements and implement Lean initiatives
- Perform preventative maintenance on individual equipment
- Oversee the cleaning of storage tanks in a confined space environment
- Effectively utilize company communications such as email and SharePoint; attend company meetings and regular work group huddles
- Regularly practices the Midwest Values
- Other duties as assigned
