• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
• Obtain a cancer‑specific certification or demonstrate ongoing qualifying education.
• Complete ONS Chemo/Bio course within two years of employment if on a chemotherapy unit.

Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN program).

Experience: One year of current acute care RN experience or licensed military RN experience.

Certifications:

Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
