About This Role

The New Grad RN Resident position at Cleveland Clinic’s Mercy Hospital is designed for recent nursing graduates seeking to develop their skills in a supportive environment. This role focuses on providing care to surgical and medical/telemetry patients while participating in a comprehensive Nurse Residency program.

• Pay: $33.50 - $53.60/hour
• Location: Canton, OH
• Facility: Mercy Hospital
• Department/Unit: Med/Surg & Telemetry
• Schedule: Full-time, Night shift

• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care.
• Initiate and/or maintain interventions to assure continuity of safe/effective care for patients.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
• Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
• Document in patients’ medical records.

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program) required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

• New graduate RN or less than one year of RN work experience.

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross required.
