New Grad RN Resident – ICU Stepdown

About This Role

The New Grad RN Resident in the ICU Stepdown at Cleveland Clinic’s Mercy Hospital provides care to higher acuity pulmonology and cardiac patients, working alongside a coach to enhance patient experiences and deliver healthcare education.

• Pay: $35.50 - $55.60/hour
• Location: Canton, OH
• Facility: Mercy Hospital
• Department/Unit: ICU Stepdown
• Schedule: Full-time, Night shift

• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
• Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
• Document in patients’ medical records.

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program) required
• Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) preferred

• New grad or less than one year RN work experience required
• Experience RN moving from non-inpatient to acute direct care clinical inpatient setting with less than one-year current acute direct patient care RN experience

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required upon hire or within first year of employment
