Astoria Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation is an 83 bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. We are currently seeking a skilled individual to fill the role of Director of Nursing. Must hold a valid RN license.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Management of Nursing Department
• Assist in Scheduling of Nursing Department
• Assist in Management of Regulatory Compliance
• Assist in Ensuring Provision of Quality Care and Service
• Assist in Staff Development and Education
• Assist in Fiscal Management of Department
• Collaborate with Facility Management
• Nursing Management in a Skilled Nursing Facility Preferred.

Assistant Director of Nursing Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise nursing staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations

Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures

Oversee patient care plans and ensure they are effectively carried out

Monitor and maintain accurate medical records

Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care

Implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction

Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements

Assistant Director of Nursing

Skills:

Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and nursing practices

Experience in nurse management within a nursing home or healthcare setting

Ability to manage nursing systems efficiently

Proficiency in developing care plans and overseeing their implementation

Familiarity with medical records management

Knowledge of home health practices is a plus
